Vaccinations: The 2 most serious infectious diseases seen in rabbits are Myxomatosis and Viral Haemorrhagic Disease 1 (VHD). Both diseases are widespread in wild rabbits in the UK. Recovery from myxomatosis is rare and VHD1 is always fatal. Therefore, vaccination against both of these diseases is highly recommended for protection as a single convenient annual vaccine.

Vaccination against the ‘new variant 2’ VHD is also strongly advised and recommended annually.
