Referrals

We advise either the referring practice or the client to contact us on 0161 881 6868 as soon as possible. Once an appointment is made we will request a copy of the medical history. We are committed to providing a personal and compassionate service for our clients and a high standard of medical care for our patients.

Emergency Out of Hours Service;

The practice maintains an out of hours service in case you have any problems outside of the normal hours, exclusively for our clients, from within the Chorlton practice. This means we have a vet on site 24/7, so in an emergency we have all your pets clinical records to hand and you don’t have to travel miles away to a different practice. In addition as this is for our own clients, and not several other practices, you don’t have wait for hours to be seen. The out of hours team of vets and nurses deal solely with emergency and hospitalised cases, meaning we can look after your pet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year.

The emergency clinic is staffed by veterinary surgeons who are specialists in emergency medicine. They will provide life-saving emergency treatment. They have contact phone numbers for some of our exotic veterinary surgeons in case they need help providing emergency treatment in species they are unfamiliar with. In many cases the patient will need to be seen at the Avian and Exotic Animal Clinic later for diagnostics to identify the underlying cause and for any follow-on treatment.
